29 Jul Recipe:: Banana Almond Sugar Cookies
Sugar cookies!!… Yum! Always a favorite of mine… and these days a favorite for my 3 year old daughter. She’s really loving helping mommy in the kitchen, especially when it comes to baking! 🙂
I have not been doing much baking since the birth of our second baby girl, but I am slowly getting back into the swing of things and find myself craving to get back to baking and being creative!
I find myself wanting to do it a little more now that my little girl wants to help mommy, though it takes us about double the time it used to, I love the little Mommy/Daughter time it gives us!
With that all being said…. I wanted to try out a new recipe!
As you may be seeing, Banana palms are the “it” thing right now and with our new Banana Palm print apron now available I wanted to bake something that went along with it! So I give you….
Banana Almond Sugar Cookies!!!
They are actually very simple to make. I actually used a package cookie mix (you can use any brand you would like) I followed the steps on the back of the box and then added my own little twist!
I added 2 bananas
An extra 1/2 cup of flour (this helps if you are wanting to use cookie cutters)
An extra 1/2 cup of sugar
1 tablespoon of almond extract
And if you are wanting to make shapes use sugar instead of flour for rolling out your dough (makes the sugar cookies even better!) 🙂
Hope you enjoy!
Happy Baking xo
